Course Title: Dance 7th Grade

7th Grade Dance is a year long encore course that meets every other day. The course is designed to develop dance and choreographic skills, but also to view dance through a cultural lense. Not only will students explore dance’s role in developing and recording history, they will develop a critical eye using the vocabulary of dance. Life long takeaways include 1) utilizing resources, 2) understanding audience etiquette, 3) reinforcement of the benefits of an active body to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle and 4) the ability to express aesthetic informed opinions.
