Suzanne Chang
Madame Chang is a French and ELL teacher for students at Kaleidoscope Academy this school year. For the past four years, she has been teaching French in the Appleton Area School District. Prior to that, she worked for the Shiocton School District as the ELL coordinator and lead teacher for three years. She is a wife and a mother of three girls and three boys who are attending schools in Appleton. Madame Chang was born in France and came to live in the United States in 2001. She then pursued her education at UW- Stevens Point to become a teacher. She double-majored in Regular Education and French with a minor in English as a Second Language as many of her teachers have inspired her to become at her turn, the teacher who would care and support her students to become successful.

Madame Chang loves to cook and bake when she has time. She also enjoys puzzles, traveling and mostly spending time with her big family. New at Kaleidoscope Academy this year, she is looking forward to getting to know her students, colleagues, and families, and having a great school year

IMG_3291Jordan LeClaire – ELL

Mr. LeClaire is starting his second year as an ELL teacher at Kaleidoscope Academy. He grew up in Green Bay, WI and attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO where he earned a degree in Spanish Education and Teaching English as a Second Language. After graduating, Mr. LeClaire taught 3rd grade at an International Baccalaureate school in Pereira, Colombia. This experience fueled his passion for working with international students and learning languages.

Outside of the classroom, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. His other interests include traveling, snowboarding, playing basketball, and spoiling his nieces and nephews. He is excited to be a part of all the great things going on at Kaleidoscope Academy.

VeronicaMelinarlet Teran

Melinarlet Teran is serving her 2nd year as the Spanish interpreter for Roosevelt Middle School and has been working in the Appelton Area School District since 2008. She is a wife and a mother of three wonderful teenagers: two daughters and one son. She studied English at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton because of her desire to learn a second language. This experience reinforced her passion for learning about new cultures and helping international students reach their full potential.  She spends much of her free time with her family and her dog Sisi. Her interests include designing clothes and dancing. She looks forward to working at Roosevelt and helping new students and their families become comfortable in a new place.
