Chris Apriesnig is one of Kaleidoscope’s Physical Education teachers. This is his 20th year in the Appleton Area School District and 8th at KA!  Chris received his Bachelors degree from UW – Oshkosh, certified K-12 in Physical Education, Coaching and Health.  He later earned a Masters in Education through Viterbo University.  Chris is married, has two children- Maddie and Alex, and a golden retriever-Cooper.   He enjoys coaching his kids in baseball/softball, playing sports, and restoring classic cars.

Mrs. Screnock is thrilled to be teaching at KA this year as a Physical Education teacher.
She was born and raised on her family farm in Chilton, WI. From a young age she was involved in school activities, Calumet County 4-H, and sports. Her 4-H projects included showing sheep, sewing, leathercraft, and cake decorating. As a 4-H member she served at the club and county levels in various officer positions. Mrs. Screnock was a part of the county exchange group that traveled to different states. Her favorite sports in high school were volleyball and softball. She chose to pursue volleyball at the collegiate level and played four years at Benedictine University.

Mrs. Screnock earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education Teaching from Benedictine University in 2015.  Her first teaching positions were in parochial schools in Brillion and Chilton. Teaching Phy. Ed. a joy because for Mrs. Screnock as she enjoys being active and truly loves teaching movement and activities.

In her free time, Mrs. Screnock coach’s JV volleyball at Chilton High School. Volleyball is one of her passions in life, and she still plays in local leagues and tournaments. When the volleyball season is complete, Mrs. Screnock and her husband and enjoy playing board games and taking their dog to the dog park.

Mrs. Skowanderson is in her third year of teaching Adapted Physical Education and General Physical Education but her first year with the Appleton Area School District. She is happy to be back in her hometown teaching at Einstein Middle School and Kaleidoscope Academy. Mrs. Skowanderson graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education. Her first teaching job was in Martin, Slovakia teaching English and Science at an Bilingual Middle School. Upon arriving back in the USA, she secured a job in the Howard-Suamico School District teaching Adapted Physical Education and General Physical Education. Mrs. Skowanderson’s passion is helping all of her students succeed in activities and games in the Physical Education classroom that they can use as lifelong lessons and skills. Mrs. Skowanderson also coaches the Girls United High School Hockey Team. This will be her 2nd season with the AU Girls. Go United!

Outside of school, Mrs. Skowanderson enjoys doing anything active with her husband and family: cycling, playing hockey, swimming and traveling to name a few.
